Congratulations Sheree Tracey Hosking

Sheree Tracey Hosking

BPW Gisborne is delighted to announce Sheree Tracey Hosking as the recipient of the 2026 BPW Gisborne Second Chance Scholarship.

We received applications from 11 exceptional women and interviewed two finalists. The overall standard was extremely high, making the selection panel’s final decision particularly difficult.

Sheree works as an Emergency Medical Technician with Hato Hone St John in Gisborne and is completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) through Whitireia and WelTec.

Her commitment to further education and her goal of improving emergency care for people across rural and remote areas of Tairāwhiti stood out to the panel. Through her studies, Sheree hopes to strengthen her clinical knowledge and skills so she can provide a higher level of care when distance and limited access to healthcare create additional challenges.

The $2,000 scholarship will help Sheree meet study-related costs, including travel and accommodation for block courses in Porirua.

Sheree will be formally presented with the scholarship at the BPW Gisborne dinner meeting on 2 February 2027.

We warmly congratulate Sheree and wish her every success as she continues her paramedicine studies. We also sincerely thank every woman who applied and shared her story, ambitions and plans for the future with us.
